Cybersecurity Training Shouldn't Cost the Same Everywhere
Your location shouldn't determine whether you can afford to become a better security professional.

Imagine two penetration testers who want to learn the same skills and earn the same certifications. For one, an international training subscription is a small expense. For the other, the same subscription takes a large share of a month's income. They are buying exactly the same training. Should they pay the same price?
on both sides
Today, we're introducing three-tier regional pricing designed to make hands-on cybersecurity training more affordable across every country we sell to.
Our goal is straightforward: make professional hands-on AI security learning more financially accessible by taking differences in income per person and local purchasing power into account, so our training costs less where incomes are lower.
The problem with one price for the whole world
The cybersecurity community is global, but the economics of professional development are not.
Training platforms, certification providers and security education companies usually price in US dollars. That makes commercial sense, but the same dollar price is a very different commitment depending on where you earn your salary, and currency conversion and international payment fees add to it.
At our standard prices, a $228 yearly plan or the $399 GSCP certification can be affordable for someone in one country and out of reach for someone with the same skills in another.
In many countries, pentesters must pay for their own professional development. They purchase training subscriptions, invest in certification exams, pay for practice environments, and learn new technologies to remain competitive. Some can expense these costs through their employers. Others receive training budgets or sponsorships.
But many independent consultants, freelancers, early-career professionals, students, and security researchers have to fund these investments themselves.
Every certification, subscription, and training course becomes a personal financial decision. Currency conversion and international payment costs can add further friction.
A security professional shouldn't have to give up an opportunity to learn simply because the price was designed around the purchasing power of another country.
These resources cost money to build and maintain. We understand that. However, we also believe pricing can account for differences in local economic circumstances without compromising the quality of the learning experience.
That is the principle behind our new pricing model.
Introducing Three-Tier Regional Pricing
At GenAI Security Lab, we're introducing a structured pricing system that divides countries into three tiers according to income per person and broader differences in purchasing power.
Rather than treating the entire world as a single market, we want our pricing to reflect the economic circumstances of the people we're trying to serve.
Same platform. Same learning experience. Fairer prices based on local economic realities. Every tier gets the same labs, the same learning paths and the same certifications.
For more details, including which tier each country is in, see Regional pricing tiers in our docs.
An extra 40% off for students
Students feel the cost of training more than anyone. Most are paying from savings or a part-time wage, with no employer budget behind them, and that's true in every tier. So on top of regional pricing, students get 40% off.

Why we're doing this
We're making this change at GenAI Security Lab because we want to help more people develop practical AI security skills. AI-powered applications are opening new attack surfaces in large language models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI agents and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations.
Security professionals need opportunities to understand these technologies, explore their weaknesses, and practice identifying vulnerabilities in realistic environments. GenAI Security Lab provides hands-on labs across these areas, mapped to the OWASP LLM Top 10, and we want security professionals everywhere to be able to practise on them, including those who will never have an employer-funded training budget.
Some training providers already discount one or two markets. We have put every country we sell to into a tier from now, because affordability should be part of how a price is designed, not something added later for a few large economies.
Keeping it sustainable
Adjusting price by region doesn't mean adjusting quality — we continue investing in infrastructure, new attack techniques, and lab depth, because sustainable pricing and world-class training can coexist.
